Here I am back again for the second time this week. Who would believe that. I think it helps that I have something else to show you. I finished the Marlene socks, another fabulous pattern by Cookie A. These are knit in Lanett superwash on size 2 needles. This pattern was so much fun to knit. It had everything I love about a great sock pattern: attractive design and a pattern that makes sense and is easy to remember. I highly recommend this pattern.
On Monday my father had two more doctor's appointments that were spaced apart by a couple of hours. I took the opportunity to run a few blocks to Windsor Button to see what I could find. Since I have recently completed a couple of pairs of socks and the sock yarn stash is getting a little shallow I picked up enough for 3 pairs. First we have 2 skeins of Happy Feet in color number 5. I have a plan for this yarn and intend to cast on soon. The other 2 skeins are On Your Toes, a yarn I'd never seen before. It is 75% bamboo and 25% nylon. I thought it would be great for some summer socks. The colors are dark sage and iris print. I don't really have a plan for these but couldn't pass them up when I saw them.
The other day I cast on a new pair of socks in some stash yarn. I'm using my usual nonpattern for these and I'll post a photo once they get a bit bigger and I'm sure they'll stick.
I love those socks! The color and the pattern work so well. The stitches
really seem to pop. Nicely done!
Beautiful socks! The pattern looks so intricate, but I'll take your word
for it that it's easy to remember. :)
Great Socks! You can see the pattern really well.
I love the Happy Feet yarn. totally my colors :) I haven't heard of On
Your Toes but i agree they sound like a good summer suck yarn and good
summery colors too. Can't wait to see what all the yarn becomes!
What pretty socks (in this post and the last)!
that bamboo yarn sounds good for sweaty feet, summer or winter. the orange
socks look great.
Lovely socks, and one of my favorite colors too! I haven't knit a Cookie
pattern for quite sometime, although I have her book. One of these
days.....
