Look a craft that isn't knitting. I have been wanting to sew myself a sock project bag for a while and finally have. I used this tutorial which was excellent. Sewing does not come easy to me. I would have failed junior high Home Ec. had it not been for my ability to cook. I'm quite pleased with how my little bag turned out. Next time I think I'll go with a sturdier fabric so the bag will stand on it's own. This bag is standing with the help of a square tissue box.

Look at that, here I am again for the third time this week. I think the key to regular posting is to have things to post about. Yup, that's the key.

Wonderful job! It looks quite professional. I only passed 8th grade home ec. because I helped someone else finish their project. It probably didn't hurt that my dad was the vocational program director either...

Good Job. If you hadn't said anything i would have never guessed that sewing wasnt a forte of yours. i wish we had sewing in our Home Ec but we had cross stitch which i did really well and still like to do but i also would have liked learning to sew that early in life. Ahhh i wish having something to post about worked for me but even then i push off a post.

It came out great! Next time you only have to iron on some interfacing and it will be firmer and sturdier. Sewing hasn't come easy for me either. I never took Home Ec, but I am having a lot of fun learning!
